After coming off the trail we drove down to see Cape Tribulation Beach (to see the beach and to try to get some of the sticky mud off our shoes). It was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. These pictures do not do it justice: it was amazing. There were warning signs about crocs and killer stingers (jelly fish), but still a few people were swimming!!
There were butterflies all over this tree.
Tiny crabs excavate make sand balls to dig out their hiding places. There are thousands of these on the beach here.
Young mangrove trees, I think...
